The following is the recipe for Firehouse Subs Prime Rib Steak Sub:

  • Prep Time: 20 Minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 Minutes
  • Total Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 sub roll
  • 6 oz prime rib steak (thinly sliced)
  • 2 oz provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 thinly sliced onion 
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pickles (optional)

Making Process

  • Cut the sub roll in half and set aside.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat, then add the olive oil or butter and sauté the onions until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the prime rib steak slices for 34 minutes, until heated through and slightly crispy.
  • Place the provolone cheese on top of the steak and let it melt for  12 minutes..
  • Spread the mayonnaise and barbecue sauce onto the sub roll. Add the cheesy prime rib steak and garnish with caramelized onions and pickles.
  • Close the Firehouse Subs prime rib steak sandwich and serve hot.
